THE WOMAN BEHIND
MEET:
Katie is the tour manager, brand + marketing manager, and overall behind-the-scenes queen of the Mario the Maker Magician brand. She also happens to be married to him. :)
Over the past 17 years, she has helped take the Mario brand from it's humble beginnings as a birthday party entertainer to a world-class touring theater performer with a distinct presence. She has also spent the past several years running marketing and branding classes for performers and consulting for some of our industry's most hard-working figures.

It's a
ONE-STOP, 2+ HOUR , INTENSIVE CRASH COURSE SMALL GROUP SESSION
all about HOW TO PAVE YOUR OWN WAY TO TOURING THEATERS, WITHOUT AN AGENT and without a massive budget! We wanted this to be the most bang for your buck, without a big time commitment on your part. And even if you don't foresee touring in the near future, this information can set you up on a path to realize your goals in general.
Most dates are live via ZOOM. One date is currently open for an IN-PERSON session located in Nyack NY. See sign up form below for details.
Each session will be limited to just 15 participants. No recordings will be offered. This is a live-only experience, but follow-up informational material will be provided to summarize what we learned.
Most dates are through Zoom, but we do have one IN-PERSON date as well, located in Nyack, New York! Woop woop!
The first hour is an intensive training full of all of her best practical knowledge on:
• how to ready your show for touring
• what theaters will ask for
• how to curate the best pitch materials
• best methods of pitching
• who to pitch to
• how to plan and fill out a tour route
• the benefits and pitfalls of four-walling
• finding the scenarios that will work best for you
• marketing your shows and tours
• and more
The second hour is an expansive conversation surrounding your questions. It's as simple as that. Session will go longer if needed. No recordings, but supporting summary materials will be provided post-session.

Katie has trudged her way through this journey, figuring things out along the way. Many mistakes, some victories, and now with several years under her belt, she's earned a great understanding of how to navigate this very particular part of the world-scape. The performer world, especially the magic world, is so vast and yet tiny at the same time. She values the community immensely and wants nothing more than to lend what she's learned to others.
